Invite your partner or another grown-up

Send a single-use link so another grown-up can join your household with their own sign-in.

Make the invitation

1. Open People. On a phone, it is under More.
2. Tap Invite a grown-up. On a phone, tap Add someone first.
3. If you like, add a Note for your household, such as who the invitation is for. Only grown-ups see it.
4. To have Ourstead send the link, type their address under Email it to them. Or leave it empty and send the link yourself.
5. Choose how long the Link lasts, then tap Create invite link.
6. If you did not enter an email address, tap Copy link, paste it into a message to them, and tap Done.

What they do

They open the link and see your household’s name. They enter their name, their email and a password of at least 10 characters, agree to the terms, and tap Join the household. They join as a grown-up, with a sign-in of their own.

Make a new link or cancel one

Invitations that have not been used yet are listed under Invitations on the People screen. Make a new link replaces a lost link, and the old one stops working. Cancel invite withdraws it. Ourstead shows each link only once, when it is made, so copy it then.
