Everything you need to run the household together is free. Plus adds the planning help, and one plan covers everyone in your household, on every device.

During the beta

While Ourstead is in beta, the Plus features that are ready are free for every household. In the app they are marked “Plus · free in beta”. As thanks for testing, households that join before launch keep Plus free for 3 months after Ourstead launches. After that, anything you made stays yours.

What Plus adds

This is everything Plus does today. When more is ready, it will appear here, not before.

  • Plan my week Plus

    Choose what you want to cook with, and the week’s meals are filled in from your own recipes: quicker meals on weeknights, nothing you have had lately, no repeats.

    On Free: plan meals yourself, copy a week, repeat a meal

  • Who is driving Plus

    A warning when the driver you pick is already driving somewhere at that time, and the grown-ups who are free.

    On Free: name a driver, and see who still needs one

  • Sunday huddle Plus

    A draft plan for the week ahead: dinners from your recipes, a driver for each ride, chores shared out fairly. Look it over and accept it in one tap.

  • More recipe pages read for you Plus

    Pasting a link to a recipe is free. Some pages need extra reading to find the recipe on them, and Plus includes many more of those each month.

  • Maintenance by usage Plus

    Schedule a job by how much something is used, such as every 5,000 miles. Log a reading, and Ourstead estimates when the job is next due.

    Add the family’s Ourstead stickers to WhatsApp from the Android app.

    On Free: send a sticker to any app as a picture

Not in the beta yet: the budget, net worth and allowance, documents, and Living Drawings. When they open, this page will say which parts of them are Plus.

Questions about plans

Does one plan cover the whole family?

Yes. Plus belongs to the household, not to one person. Everyone in your household has it, on every phone, tablet and computer they use Ourstead on.

What happens to our things if we stop Plus?

Nothing is deleted. Anything a Plus feature made stays in Ourstead and stays readable. You just cannot make more of that kind until you have Plus again.

Can we pay in the phone app?

If you get Plus in the Android or iPhone app, Google Play or the App Store handles the payment, and you manage or cancel it there. Cancel or change your plan explains each way.

Is Ourstead really free?

Yes. The calendar, chores, meals, shopping, messages, notes, the wall display and the rest of the core of the app are free, with no time limit.

Who do we ask about billing?

Email support@ourstead.casa. A person reads every message.
