Create your household
Set up Ourstead for your family. You become the household’s owner.
During the beta
Ourstead is in beta, with room for a limited number of households. If sign-up asks for a Beta invitation token, open the invitation link you were sent: it fills the token in for you. Use the email address the invitation was sent to.
Create the household
- Open Ourstead at ourstead.casa and tap Create a household, beside “New to Ourstead?”.
- Enter Your name and a Household name, such as “The Parker family”. Everyone in the household sees this name.
- Enter your Email and a Password. A password needs 10 to 256 characters.
- Tick the box to say you are 18 or older and agree to the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.
- Tap Create household.
What happens next
Ourstead sends you an email to confirm your address. Open the link in it: Ourstead can email invitations for you only once your address is confirmed.
Your Today screen shows a Getting started card with four first steps: Add a chore, Plan a dinner, Put something on the calendar and Invite your partner, or add the children. Tap Go beside one to start it. Each step ticks itself off when it is done, and Hide this puts the card away.
Still stuck? Email support@ourstead.casa and say which device you use. A person reads every message.
