Add your children
Add each child to your household. Children never need an email address.
During the beta
During the beta, children are added without a sign-in of their own. They can still be on events and chores and show on the wall display, and a grown-up ticks off their chores. Children’s sign-ins explains more.
Add a child
- Open People. On a phone, it is under More.
- Tap Add a child. On a phone, tap Add someone first.
- Enter Their name. Under Who are they?, leave Child chosen.
- If you like, add a Relationship, and choose How they appear: a colour, or Make a character to build a small picture of them.
- Tap Add person.
Choose what children can see
The owner chooses what every child can see, under What children can see in Family & settings → Children & access. The calendar, the meal plan and recipes, and shopping lists start switched on. Family notes start switched off.
Under What each person can do in the same place, each child can start from a preset, such as Standard Child or Teen / More Permissive, and you can change it later.
