Ourstead on your phone

Put Ourstead on an iPhone or Android phone, and add the Today widget on Android.

On an iPhone or iPad

1. Open ourstead.casa in Safari and sign in.
2. Tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen.
3. Open Ourstead from your Home Screen from now on.

From the Home Screen, Ourstead opens like an app and can send you notifications. It needs iOS or iPadOS 16.4 or later. An iPhone app is in the works.

On Android

The Ourstead app for Android is being tested before it opens to everyone on Google Play. If you are one of the testers, install it from the link in your invitation. Everyone else can use Ourstead in Chrome at ourstead.casa, and add it to the home screen from Chrome’s menu.

The Today widget (Android app)

Add the widget called Ourstead today from your phone’s widget list. It shows today and tomorrow: what is on, dinner, the chores left and what to buy. A private event shows only as “Private event”. The widget refreshes about every half hour, and whenever you open Ourstead.

Send a recipe to Ourstead (Android app)

1. On a recipe page in your browser, tap Share and choose Ourstead.
2. Ourstead opens Add Recipe with the link filled in and starts reading it.
3. Check the recipe and save it.
