Children’s sign-ins
How a child signs in with a username instead of an email address, and what the beta allows.
During the beta
During the beta, children do not get a sign-in of their own. If you tap Give a sign-in, Ourstead says the feature is unavailable in this beta release. Children can still be on events and chores and show on the wall display, and a grown-up ticks off their chores.
Give a child a sign-in
When children’s sign-ins are open, a grown-up sets one up:
- Open People and find the child. A child without one is marked No sign-in.
- Tap Give a sign-in.
- Choose a Username. It can use letters, numbers, dots, dashes and underscores.
- Choose a Password of at least 10 characters, and tap Give a sign-in.
How a child signs in
On the sign-in page, the child types their username in Email or username, then their password, and taps Sign in. Children see their own chores and day, and only the parts of the household the owner allows under Children & access.
