Add a chore and make it repeat

Give someone a job, say when it is due, and have it come back every day, week or month.

Add a chore

1. Open Chores and tap Assign a chore.
2. Type What needs doing, such as “Take out the bins”.
3. Under When, choose Today, Tomorrow, another date, or No date.
4. Under Who is helping, choose one person, or Anyone for a job anyone can pick up.
5. Tap Add chore.

Make it repeat

1. In the chore, tap More options.
2. Under Repeats, choose Every day, Every week, Every month or Every year. Choose Every so often to set your own number of days, weeks, months or years.
3. For a chore that repeats weekly, choose the day or days of the week it comes back on.
4. Tap Add chore, or Save changes if you are changing a chore.

When a repeating chore is done, it moves on to its next date by itself, and its history keeps each time it was done.

More options also has a Time of day, a Reminder, How important it is, a Picture for children who are not reading yet, and Notes. Tick Needs a grown-up to approve when done to check the job before it counts. Tick Just me, not the whole household for a chore only you can see.

Change or delete a chore

Tap the pencil beside a chore to change it, or the bin to delete it. Deleting asks first, and removes the chore from everyone’s list.
