Signing in and passwords

Sign in with your email or username, reset a forgotten password, and change your password.

Forgot your password

1. On the sign-in page, tap Forgot your password?.
2. Enter the email on your account and tap Send reset link.
3. Open the link in the email within an hour, and choose a new password of 10 to 256 characters.

Changing your password this way signs you out on all your devices. Sign in again with the new one.

Change your password

Open Family & settings, tap your name, and under Your details tap Set or change password. Confirm it is you, enter the new password twice, and save. Your other devices are signed out.

Sign in with Google, Facebook or Apple

To use one of these, link it first: Family & settings → Sign-in & security → Provider sign-in → Link a sign-in option. A matching email address alone never links an account. The phone app does not offer signing in with Google: there, use your Ourstead email and password, or another sign-in you have linked.
