Approve finished chores

Check a job before it counts as done, and send it back with a note when it needs another go.

Ask for approval

In a chore, tap More options and tick Needs a grown-up to approve when done. When it is ticked off, it waits for a grown-up instead of counting as done straight away.

Approve or send back

1. When something is waiting, Chores says how many chores are waiting for your approval. Tap Review to see only those.
2. Tap Approve. For a chore that repeats, the button names the day, such as “Approve Fri, Oct 16”, and the oldest waiting day comes first.
3. Or tap Send back. Add a note under Why? if you like, and tap Send it back. The chore goes back on their list to try again.

Where waiting chores show up

Waiting chores are listed under Needs attention on Today, marked “Waiting”, and in the Awaiting approval filter on the Chores screen. Grown-ups who can approve chores also get an Approvals notification.
