Keep track of the furnace, the car and the smoke alarms, with a reminder when each job is due.

Add something to keep up

1. Open Home from More.
2. Tap Start from a template and choose a kind of thing, such as a furnace or a car. Or tap Add something to start from scratch.
3. Enter What is it and Where it is. Tap Purchase details to add a model number, a serial number or when the warranty ends.
4. Tap Track it.

Add the jobs it needs

1. Open the thing’s menu and choose Add maintenance, or Choose a service template for common jobs you can edit.
2. Enter What needs doing, such as “Change the filter”.
3. Under Repeat by, choose Date and how often, such as every 3 months.
4. Tap Add it.

Each job shows when it is next due, or how long it is overdue. Coming up at the top says what is due soon.

Get a reminder, and record the work

Tap the chore icon on a job to Add to the chore list with a reminder: ticking that chore off moves the job on to its next date. When the work is done, tap the record icon to note the date, who did it and what it cost. Ourstead keeps the history.

By how much it is used (Plus)

With Plus, a job can repeat by Usage, such as every 5,000 miles, or by Whichever comes first. Use Record a reading on the thing to log the mileage or hours, and Ourstead estimates when the job is next due. Jobs by date are free.
