Connect a Google, Outlook or other calendar

Show the events from a calendar you already use alongside the family’s, and choose who sees them.

Connect a calendar

1. Open Family & settings → Connections.
2. Under Connected calendars, tap Connect a calendar.
3. Tap Connect Google Calendar or Connect Outlook Calendar and sign in, if they are offered. Or paste a calendar’s private link into Calendar link and tap Connect.
4. Switch on each calendar you want to show. Ourstead shows what it would bring in first.

Choose who sees it

A connected calendar starts as Only me. Change it to Shared with the household to put its events on the family calendar and the wall. Choose Busy times only to share just that you are busy, without titles, places or notes.

Calendars without a sign-in button

For an Apple (iCloud) calendar, or any calendar that offers one, copy its private address in iCal format and paste it as a calendar link. The address starts with https:// or webcal://. Anyone who has it can read that calendar, so treat it like a password.

Disconnect

Tap Disconnect on the connection. Ourstead asks whether to keep the events it brought in as ordinary events, remove them, or decide later.
