Add a recipe from a photo
Photograph a recipe card or a cookbook page and have Ourstead read it. A Plus feature that arrives after the beta.

During the beta
Reading recipes from photos is not part of the beta. Grown-ups can open Import from Photos to see how it will work, with an invented recipe card. Nothing is uploaded, sent anywhere or saved.
See how it works
- Open Meals, go to the Recipes tab and tap Add recipe.
- Choose Import from Photos.
- Tap Read this example to watch Ourstead read an invented recipe card.
When it opens
You will take a photo or choose up to two pages, straighten and trim them, and agree each time before the cropped pages are sent to be read. You check the recipe before anything is saved.
Still stuck? Email support@ourstead.casa and say which device you use. A person reads every message.
